We recently moved to Oxford, MS and are settling into the rural life at Yocona Bottoms Farm, a beautiful piece of property out in the country owned by Dr. Douglas Davis.
When not working on the farm, both of us are balancing teaching with learning. Alison is currently enrolled in the University of Mississippi, studying Pre-Law by day and either examining the reproductive rights of women in modern birthing practices or tickling the keys of her piano by night.
Daniel is working as an “outdoor guide” at the Plein Air Montessori School in Taylor, MS while collecting tips at City Grocery and Honey Bee Bakery to feed the machine.
Meanwhile, both of us are constantly learning new lessons in the most demanding of applied courses; one taught by a toddler, their little angel Sophia Irene Marie.
Starting in January, we hope to be hosting monthly Poetry Slams in downtown Oxford.
